S.T.A.R. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

S.T.A.R. is a language based program that encourages students to be responsible for their actions.  It uses a decision making model that will help our students resolve conflicts.

The model is:

STOP        Stop before you act.

THINK        Think about the consequences of your actions/reactions

ACT             Act responsibly and let your conscience be your guide.

REVIEW    Review your actions, reactions and learn from them

Also emphasized, especially with older children, is the alternative definition, Success Through Accepting Responsibility.
